Terms for signing in and attending Plaii events.
Terms
Use of Plaii events.
When you sign in to and take part in a Plaii event, you accept the following terms of use:
Sign-in and cookies
When you sign in, we create a cookie on your device that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 7 days, and a cookie containing a random unique ID that identifies your device (up to 400 days). The device ID is used to count how many devices you are signed in on, and to sign out extra devices if the event limits the number of simultaneous devices.
Registration and access list
If you fill in a form to take part in a Plaii event that requires registration, the organizer (the customer) is considered the data controller for your information.
Some events require sign-in with an email address or phone number that the organizer has added to an access list (whitelist). Your information is used only for access control for the event. Depending on your ticket, this may limit how many devices you can be signed in on simultaneously, grant access for your entire email domain, or provide you with a reusable access code that lasts up to 7 days.
If the organizer syncs the access list from checkin.no, we retrieve names, email addresses and ticket details (including ticket type) from the organizer's checkin.no account and add them to the access list. The organizer is the data controller for this processing. Registered attendees who are no longer signed up at checkin.no are removed from the access list automatically.
Questions and chat
If you submit a question, the written question and the name, nickname or alias you chose are sent in and stored on our servers. The question will be visible to the hosts or the customer of the event, and may be read out or asked directly in the broadcast. After the event, all questions are deleted from our servers.
If the event has chat, your messages are stored in connection with the event and can be read by the organizer or moderators after the broadcast. The organizer is considered the data controller for questions and chat content.
Automatic subtitles
Uploaded videos and live recordings can be automatically converted to text (speech recognition) by our video provider, making subtitles available in the player.
WebTV
Use of WebTV services.
The terms in this section apply when you sign in to or buy access to a WebTV service — a video portal run by one of our customers, or Plaii's own WebTV platform. They do not apply to Plaii's other services.
Sign-in and account details
When you sign in, we send a one-time code to your email address. We store your email address, an optional name, and the details you choose to add to your account: your address, an optional invoice address (including organisation number) and your preferred currency. If you choose to create a password, it is stored as an encrypted hash and cannot be read by us. Your IP address is stored for a short time in connection with sending sign-in codes, to protect against misuse.
Buying single videos
A WebTV service can offer paid access to single videos. Payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe) on our behalf. Plaii AS sells on behalf of the customer running the WebTV service and issues the receipt. The price includes VAT, and access lasts for the period stated before the purchase. Completed purchases are kept as receipt records as required by accounting law. The customer running the WebTV service can see their own sales, including the amount and the buyer's email address, in their admin panel.
Playback position
If the WebTV service lets you continue playback, your playback position may be stored so you can pick up where you left off on another device.
Analytics and playback data
The WebTV pages use Plausible Analytics, a self-hosted statistics service without cookies. Playing a video sends technical playback data to our video provider (Mux). This data is linked to a randomly generated, anonymous ID that cannot be connected to you or your account.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all personal data we store about you at any time from the account page at tv.plaii.no. Receipts for completed purchases are not deleted, because we are required to retain accounting records. If you are on a WebTV owner's access list (whitelist), you must contact the owner of that WebTV to have your entry removed.
Data controller
The customer running the WebTV service is the data controller for the information processed in connection with memberships and access to the content. Plaii AS is the data controller for the common Plaii TV account on tv.plaii.no, and for the processing of purchases and receipts as the seller.
Contact us
